Extended Web
Lt. Col. Raymond A. Stewart, USMC (Ret.) Founder and President of the
Marine Corps Vietnam Tankers Historical Foundation proudly announces the
creation of the Foundation’s expanded web site.
It has been 6 years since the M.C.V.T.H.F. was incorporated as the
official historical archive for the USMC Vietnam Tankers Association
and
its members. The Board of Directors of the Foundation has for many years
been eager to have a more in-depth web site. Thanks to the
The USMC Vietnam Tankers Association
Board of Directors that goal as been reached.
The USMCVTA has provide space on their web site since 2002. The Foundation is most please to be working in
collaboration
with the
USMCVTA.
Richard
“Dick” Carey, Founder and President Emeritus of the USMCVTA and Historical Foundation
board member is the site’s Public Relations director. Carey is working
closely with Lloyd “Pappy” Reynolds, web master for the Vietnam Tankers
Association.
Col. Stewart said,
“It is imperative that the USMCVTA and the Foundation
retain a close personnel relationship."
He further stated,
“We now have the ability to enhance the efforts of both
organizations without confusing the missions of either entity.”
“Our goal at the Foundation is to provide Marine Corps
Tankers the most professional and effective historical archive .”
Lt. Col. Stewart concluded.
The site offers easy browsing to accommodate our visitors. The pages
on the site are less typical of most Marine Corps sites with muted
backgrounds and easy to read text.
In the future video steaming and power point presentation will be added
with professional voice-overs that will be provided by David “Doc” Forsyth
who serves on the BoD. |

On Line Newsletter
The
Tank Crewmen’s Journal
newsletter will appear on the Foundation web site for the
purposes of providing up-to-date news and information. There is no set
schedule for publication.
The one page journal will have news that will have informational updates on
matters concerning the Foundation.
The Foundation will continue to provide excusive articles and stories to
the
USMCVTA’s
Sponson Box
newsletter. Those items will then be posted on the
Foundation’s web site for continued readership by both the membership of
the Vietnam Tankers, the Marine Corps community and the general public.
